we offer various different types of training from pet dogs right up to gundog work and competitions.
puppy 1-1 lessons
These are perfect for anyone with a new puppy no matter what the breed. We can cover absolutely anything you want in these sessions depending on what you need help with.

If it's your first pup and you just need a few pointers on the basics, ensuring you start off on the right foot, these lessons can really help.

They're also great for those who are aiming to train their dog as gundog in the future and want a bit of help with the foundations.

As soon as your puppy is fully vaccinated we can begin training in our own training paddock, or at your home if you don't want to wait.

gundog 1-1 training
Once you've mastered the basics with a young dog we can progress to more complicated exercises and gradually build on the foundations of gundog work.

these lessons are ideal for those wishing to get more from group classes or those who have specific areas that they need help with in order to move forward in their training.

These sessions can also be allot of fun, incorporated into a walk or just a way of getting your dog out with other older experienced dogs to help them learn patience and steadiness.
group training
We regularly run group classes for gundogs, ranging from puppy and novice right up to open standard. Wether you wish to compete with your dog or simply want to have a go and see what its all about, these classes can be great fun and will challenge both you and your dog.

We offer both walked up days and static training and cover a wide range of different terrains and exercises. We also offer simulated shoot days where your dog can be introduced to real shot and retrieves in a controlled manner, getting them ready for the real thing.

Ben is great at helping solve problems with dogs and getting that polish needed for a competition, he has many awards in both field trails and tests and also judges too.
simulated days and picking up lessons
Many a good gundog has been ruined by rushing things and taking them out picking up or shooting too soon. They get over excited because they haven't learned patience and in no time at all you have a young dog who runs in or makes noise because of over excitement and adrenaline.

We offer simulated game days where you will sit behind a team of guns shooting clays, slowly easing dogs into the mind set that guns do not mean birds or high excitement. There will be retrieves suitable to your dogs ability but these will happen in a calm and controlled manner after the drive.

Wether your dog is intended to be a peg dog, for picking up or even trials and tests these days will help improve their steadiness and ability to behave in a challenging environment.
